Crispas tend to attach in the liverock, though sometimes they will attach in the sand. Provide liverock and hopefully it will attach its foot in a rock crevice or cave. As far as what's on the foot. It's hard for me to tell from the pics, but keep an eye on it. These anemones can decline quickly and literally begin to dissolve. I hope that's not what's occurring with your crispa, but I've had it happen years ago to one I was trying to rescue-it's disgusting.

It's not looking good I seem to find it laying upside down a lot I keep trying to put it on rock but it just moves it's sticky but just won't stay where I put it and now i saw it's mouth wide open witch is not a good sign how do I know when to pull it out of the tank I tried giving it food it won't take it I had him now almost a week he looked a lot better a week ago big etc now it's very small and can't seem to stand up

Here is a pic of it now it's mouth is covered by the rock half of it's tenticales are in flatted

Yours definitely appears to have a wound of some kind. Hopefully it is not infected or diseased, the rest of it looks pretty good to me anyway. If they are healthy they can recover quite quickly from massive wounds. Mine was shredded in half by a powerhead several years ago and was completely healed in a couple of months. It won't stay on the rockwork? Try to get it to an area where the trunk can get down into a hole or crevice between rocks and the disk and tentacles can rest on top of the rocks. Just be gentle when moving it and try not to damage it any more than it already is. Don't force it into a hole. Do you have enough flow to keep the tentacles moving? What is your lighting? Is this a new tank? Good luck with it.

Ok thanks I buried the foot into a hole but it seems like he doesn't want to put pressure on it he tilts sideways I'm running 2 450gph hydor power heads a filter and protein skimmer the lighting system is a aquatic life 4 bulb t5 ho florescent I have had it now for roughly 2 months I know it's early for nems but I didn't kniw better on my first one I have a rbta and had a clown incident so I took a loss on the clown and the lfs gave me a good deal on this nem which is turning out to be a night mare tank param is 8.0 ph 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and 5 nitrate salt is at 1.025 temp I have a little high but I can't get my stupid heater to dial in it's eater 72 or 84 so I have it at 84 I have a percula clown a bi doty a Fiji blue damsel 4 hermit crabs a cc starfish and a skunk shrimp all doing fine and happy starfish had me scared but he is fine and skunk just shed this morning I had a snail but someone ate it lol the tank has about 36lbs of live rock cycled tank with in cured rock for a month adding pure ammonia when ammonia dropped as needed once cycled checked it's rate it would get rid of 4ppm in less than 12 hours

Just really worried he pulls through and if not I don't want him taking down entire tank very stressful hobby and takes a lot of knowledge and reading to succeed

As for light I think it's ok cause my rbta opens and bubbles nicely durring the day it has 3 settings dusk/dawn daylight and night light all on timers if there is any concerns other than the tank is too young please tell me I'm still a noob and am all ears for advise ideas and help

Thanks
Tom

Your light sounds fine. Dont have any exp with your pumps but i suspect that is fine. Do his tentacles move around pretty good in the flow? they should. if it is 84 that is definitely too hot. 80-81 is about max. I'd get a new heater asap. Also its probably not a good idea to mix 2 diff species of nems, especially in a smaller tank. Have you fed it?

I have feed the rbta this one won't eat I think it's dead I'm going to have to pull it has no inflation and looks like a pile of mush

I just put him in a small specimen container he looks like he spit up it's zoo-guts don't know term hi a tenticales are green they are slightly moving he is completely deflate and mouth is stretched way way open idk but I think he is on it's last leg :(

Thanks :( I have him in a specimen tank inside my tank he has slight movements the mouth opens and closes I'm not pulling the plug till I know for sure but at least he is out of my tank so if he does go he doesn't nuke my tank I have high hopes but I don't think he is going to make it and after this one I'm not going to try again till at least 4 months I'll just stick to my rbta for now
