sebae anemone not cooperating!

i picked up a sebae anemone 2 days ago. my parameters are pretty ideal, nitrates no more than 5. i turned my powerhead off so it would have a chance to grab hold of the rocks or sand, and so far it wont attach to anything. occasionally it will just be floated away from the filter current and i relocate it hoping it will grab hold. nothing

am i doing something wrong? a small number off its tentacles shrank on one side. does it sound like he will make it?

What color is it?

What are your actual parameters?

What size tank?

What lights? (( are you acclimating it to your lights? ))

its a 29g tank w/ 10g sump. the anemone is white with blue, almost violet tips.

pH - 8.2
specific gravity - 1.024
ammonia - 0
nitrites - 0
nitrates - <5

the soft corals in the tank are doing great. but he just wont put his foot down

Long term a "sebae" H. Crispa will out grow a 29.

Should raise your SG to 1.026.

The main issue is that you bought a white one -- white ones are bleached, and rarely recover. And if the tentacles are really short it is already starting to consume itself for energy.

What lights do you have?
