Sebae care?

One of the local reefers decided to give me a Sebae. It seems quite healthy.
I just let it find a spot for itself and well, I was completely satisfied to where it chose to anchor itself. Looks great!

But what are the care factors for this specie? Is live feed required?

You do not have to feed them, but they will benefit from supplemental feeding. They will also grow faster with feeding, so consider that if you chose to feed the nem. They do need a decent amount of light, so keep that in mind, if you are not running enough light it will start to bleach and lose its zooxanthelle.

If you have any more specific questions feel free to ask :)

I have one that is trying to kill itself. The first day it crawled to the bottom of a rock and stayed there. I tried flipping it and then it moves back to the bottom.

Sebae are sand dwelling anemone in general, most of them require a sand bed to do well and will usually attach at the bottom of a rock under where it meets the sand. There are many reasons why your anemone could be doing this (tank not mature, bad conditions including but not limited to NO3/PO4 levels, Lighting, flow)

As for feeding I feed all of my nems everything from mysis to small pieces of scallop or table shrimp from the store. I feed most of my nems 1/2 times a week (but I want them to grow quite a bit so I feed quite heavy).
