Hi all, well my Sebae blue tipped experiment is going rather well (considering I'm a Sebae Noob) for being at day 11. Most of the white color on the tenticles that was there on arrival has turned to a pinkish/bown color, which from what I read suggests increased zoothanthellae production. Even though it is hosting a clown the internet literature suggests feeding it every few days (50 google searched posts- on Sebae feeding went something like: 15 said- don't feed if it's hosting a clown, 30 said- feed, but it seemed the more experienced owners said to feed 2/3 times a week if it has a clown host, about 5 said-your Sebae will die regardless).
I cut up some shrimp into tiny portions and the tenticles bound quickly to the shrimp and held it for what seemed like 15 minutes and then the food kind of vanished, but I have yet to see the tenticles move the food to the mouth like the visual you get from "20000 leagues under the sea" and the octopus. The anem really seems to like the Formula two marine pellets which are tiny pellets that sink quickly, again I see the tenticles bind it quickly and hold it, but still have not seen the mouth open and eat.. any reason for concern here??
thanks!!
