Well that time is here again. The Black Perc have laid another batch of eggs that I am going to collect on Saturday. Just to whet your appetites here are some pictures of both the parents and the eggs.

Eggs at day 2:

A close up of the same:

And then finally the parents:

I will let you all know how it goes.

Poorcollegereef,

They are unfortunately not my percs :( When I collect the eggs tomorrow I will see if I can find that information out for you.

A quick update.

This is the eggs when they were transported to my place.

Does any one have a picture of what the eggs would look like before they hatch?

Steve

Those look ready to me! There is still a pretty significan yolk, so it could be tonight, or it could be tomorrow night. IMO. Good luck!

I agree with Kathy. Could be tonight, but probably tomorrow.
If you grow them and are able to sell them, please indentify them properly as Black Ocellaris and not black percs.
Good luck

This is not the same species of clown and the pic is not as good as your's, but these hatch the night that this pic was taken.

Kathy, Phender,

Great thanks for the information.
Phender will definitely change the description of them. Thanks for the information.

Only a few hatched, so we wait and see what happens with the rest. Took a very large bristleworm off this morning. Needless to say he is toast. Eating my babies :(

Thanks

Steve
