Securing 6000

Roger,
I'm setting up 2x6000's in my tank and noticed when i turned it on even at lower flow it tends to move the swing arm around, How do i stablise the swing arm? The directions mention using as screw to (.31in) secure, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. The smaller screw does extend far enough to reach the nut, maybe stupid question but i assume i could just use any of the bolts as long as they reach.

The screw is for the 6200. For the 6000 you just need to be sure the teeth on the post and arm mesh together properly. Often times people put the pump on upside down, it should be under the arm, not above it.

I have them on correct but will make sure the teeth are aligned. another question, testing flow and now with both units turned down to 30% but still getting alot of sand movement around the tank. Have both units about 3 to 4 inches from surface in back corners pointed a little short of center tank. Any suggestions?

Line up the teeth and press them together.

I would try different pump placements. One guy on here suggests aiming them form the front to the back center to help with this otherwise corner to diagonal corner may help.

The other day someone suggested left and right side panels pointed at each other. I am just very concerned their to strong for my 90 gal. (little late now) Now i have not hooked up the 7095 yet so do not know what affect that will have once on interval 2 on the sand movement.

WOuld this work with one in the back right corner and the other on left center panel??

I have used them on a 75 and a 120, a new fine sand bed may see some movement but it will agregate over time and not move so much. It is the right amount of flow for the animals. The sand bed all comes down to placement and program and you will just need to try out different things and find what works for you. You can always run one at a time on Interval1.
