securing a Kenya

I got a piece from a guy at work and was wondering if my attaching method is sound. I took a rope epoxy putty and wrapped the stalk and then smoothed that into a depression in a softball sized piece of rock. I am wondering if the putty will restrict the stalk in any way that will harm the coral or if it will adapt and adjust to its new placment. Thanks in advance.

rubberband or toothpicks work, kenya is pretty resiliant, it pops up everywhere in my tank.

I attach all my kenya frags with super glue gel.

i use super glue or rubber bands, sometimes both together
