i have the euro reef cs2-6 skimmer thats what it calls for i have a backup pump but not the right one skimmer working ok but not like it should be ,or if ya know something comparable to the sedra.

Gen x makes 4100nw might work as well. I'd look for a sicce psk 2500. Low watts, amazing fine bubbles. Best small skimmer pump imo.

that is the right pump for a 6-2
why do you say it isnt working right ? i no you said the other day when you hooked it up it had a lot of foam. ? they do settle down quite a bit after first hooking them up . they will foam like crazy and micro bubbbles will spill back into sump. usally becuse the skimmer was cleaned and has no slime coat. i am sure if you cleaned it again and set the skimmer back up it would act the same.
after a day or so it starts to build a slime coat in the skimmer and the bubbles get cut down a lot. and the mocro bubbles will stop getting in you sump. that would give the impression of the pump not working right after the first day of seeing all the micro bubbles and foam going crazy./ you should have the bubbles in the skimmer from where the pipe goes in the skimmer start to mix with the water and small bubbles toward the top and near the neck. you have to raise the tube higher to get the small bubbles into the bottom of the neck.
when the skimmer breaks in it will not act like it did when you first put it into your sump that why they say when starting the the skimmer for the frist time/setup to push you ajustment tube all the way down. that to try to keep the micro bublles out of the tank untill the skimmer breaks in. i have euro reefs and asm skimmers with the same pump and they did the same thing yours did when you first hooked it up. so i dont think any thing is wrong with yours its just how they work. if you can get a pic or so of you skimmer showing the buble level that would help.

so you would say that the sicce pump is better than the sedra do they sell the sicce pumps at aquatic tech or salty

you would probley have to do some retro fitting look at the pumps on line. is the pump you have a sen-3500? if you put a pump that to powerful it can cause you more troble to much bubles the erou reef 6-2 is rated for a 110 gallon or less aquarium. and euro reef matches there pumps up pretty good.
i would try to stay around the same pump feed. just my opion though

The Sedra 5000 is a better fit on the 6-2 body than the 3500, and with that pump it was marketed as a 6-2+. Currently that model is basically called the RS135. The bodies on the newer skimmers are smaller and the necks are taller but really the same skimmer. the downside is it may not line up with the body as it was drilled with the 3500 in mind.
