Quick question for those who have some experience with the sedra 5000 needlewheel pump; what do you attach the outboard end of the venturi to on a DIY skimmer? It looks kind of like if I sanded away the inside of a 1" elbow a little it would fit over the venturi. 3/4" PVC pipe fits in the venturi loosely. If I did the elbow bit, I'd put a 1" union on the other side of the elbow. If I tried the 3/4" PVC pipe in the venturi, then I guess I'd use a 3/4" union. Any ideas?
The output side is easy; 3/4" elbow then union.
