Anyone have any experience with these as an internal powerhead / current generator? I've got a 180 gallon Fish only tank I'm setting up and am looking for 2 internal powerheads for it to create current. Any other recomendations are welcome.

Thanks,
Fleming

ive heard totally opposit about Seio. Tunze IME, is by far the best you can purchase plus you get a warranty with them. they fix em' for free, no questions and they dont over-heat as Seio are known to do.

John, :)

Can you provide a few links to this over heating problem? I haven't heard any complaints about that and would like to know what to watch out for.

oh! almost forgot, ive heard numerous complaints about the ceramic shaft breaking. if power goes out they will not re-start in most caces. this info was gathered from other post ive read.

John, :)

if you have the cash go for the tunze's! better yet a vortech........you want current, you cant go wrong with these. if strapped for cash, seio's would be the way to go...they get a bad rep for being related to rio's but i have the 820's running for over a year now and i never had any problems. you should also look into the maxi jet mods.........mjmods.com.......also oceanflo.com.
from what ive read the oceanflo is a better mod......never experienced myself so ill let those who have chime in. hope that helps a little.
