Selcon VS. V3 Triple Strength

Hi all, this is my first time posting here but I've had a mantis shrimp for a few months now. I've seen a few posts on here that suggest the use of Selcon (I think I spelled that right) when feeding thawed meaty foods to your mantis. I went to my local fish store to buy some Selcon, which they apparently do not sell. The LFS instead sold me a bottle of supplements called V3 Triple Strength (from H20 Life), and said that it was essentially the same thing as Selcon.

Is anyone else here using the V3 supplement? Or is there any reason that I should use the Selcon instead of the V3 that I bought? Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance!

i dont see why you couldnt use the V3, i would say they would have to be close, the only thing is there is no food suppliment that adds calcium to the food which is VERY vital to stomatopods, i would have to say in order for the stomatopod to get the right amount of calcium that if its a smashing type to offer it snails and if its a spearing type to offer it fresh clam

Thanks for the reply! Thor does eat his fair share of snails and hermit crabs, but I still feed him a piece of krill every couple of days or so. I'm giong to try out that V3 next time I feed him.
