Let me think on it a few days. Was really looking at getting one of the 24 or 28 JBJ's...or setting up my 30tall. Something a tad larger than 8 gallons. What are the base dimensions of the tank? It might fit on my bar.
Thanks,
Marc

p.s. them me and my snips are gonna sneak into tfp's amazing tank.

p.p.s but that would be a secret.

It would fit the bar no problem. I also have the JBJ stand so that is an option. Let me talk to my CFO when she gets back to the conference room w/ Starbucks.

The bar option would be cool...back in the proverbial day I had a canary yellow rainbow mantis in a nano tank there and it was an awesome display. Would love to do something along those lines again. What sort of PAR rating is that? I got out of the hobby for a while at the entrance of the LED lighting and have no idea what sort of stuff I can keep under that LED setup.

I have never measured it being as I don't have the tech for it. But I'd think in the low 400s being as I can sustain sps. I haven't had any trouble keeping corals in it. The only bad thing is that the photo period has to be shorter or you will grow some crazy algae. I'm assuming because the lights are so close to the water and the depth of the tank is almost the height leds are supposed to hang from. I run them for 8 hours and things do great. 10 hr run time for blue (sunrise & sunset) and 8 hr run time with the whites.
