Selling My 150 Gallon (and everything in it)

Well - I've decided to sell off my 150 gallon and everything in it :(. Not that I have soured on the hobby at all - quite the opposite actually. I would rather focus all my attention on my 55G reef tank (which I will someday upgrade to a 90G). Also, I feel like I only have enough time to properly maintain one tank (and I have been giving preferential treatment to the reef tank :) ).

Anyway, here is a list of the things I am looking to sell:

150G all glass aquarium - ~2 years old, excellent condition, 48" x 24" x 31" - $250 (very heavy - would require some help to move - obviously, I am willing to help)

Berlin turbo hang on protein skimmer - good for up to 250G - $75 (works great - lots of dark thick skimmate)

Fluval 404 canister filter - $25

2 36" double strip fluorescent lights - $20 each

Before the hardware goes, I want to find a home for some of my livestock... the fish are extremely healthy and have been in the tank for well over a year (except for the trigger who is going on 6 months).

Medium size lunare wrasse (~6 inches) - $20
Medium size sailfin tang (~5 inches) - $25
Small niger trigger (~4 inches) - $15
2 3 stripe domino damsels - free
Chocalate chip starfish - $10
Large "Green Monster" brittle starfish - $10
Show size fiji live rock and reef bone - make an offer
Live sand (lots of life) - free (after other stuff goes)

If anyone is interested, either post to this forum or send me a PM. You're welcome to stop by and see the tank in the evening or on the weekend. I live in Niskayuna.

I thought about converting it to a reef, but I'm not ready to pay for the lights that would be needed :). My primary concern is being able to move into a larger house and I just do not want to deal with moving a tank that size. I'm not even sure when I'll be moving, but I'm guessing it will be in the next year or so.

I'm not interested in shipping that beast of a tank - I imagine it would cost quite a bit. The other hardware I would be willing to ship but I need to find homes for the livestock first.

I'll take the skimmer if no one else already claimed it, would also like some sand and maybe some other stuff once looking in person, I'd buy the 150, but damnit I got no room !!!!!!! I think I'll also take the fluval 404 off ya.........

Interested in Medium size lunare wrasse.
If I had my taxes already I would entertain the 250 but that will not be here for a few weeks

Depending on timing, would be interested in some sand and possibly some live rock......planning on setting up a 37 gal seahorse tank and just need to get the actual tank, waiting on taxes (same ones scorp1on is waiting on LOL -- I am his wife)

Keith - The skimmer and filter are yours if you want them. I can't part with them until I find homes for all the livestock so it could be a while.
You're welcome to stop by to see if there is anything else you would want.

Scorp1on and Robin - The wrasse is yours - he's really cool and eats like a pig. He takes large pieces of krill and bangs them against the rocks before eating them - neat to watch. Send me a PM and we can make arrangements. As far as the tank, sand, etc., I am in no rush. Since the tank would be the last thing to go, it could be months. You should have your taxes by then :). Let me know what you want to do.

I thought I could add some basic pictures to give everyone an idea of the tank I am talking about. I apologize for the focus of the fish pictures - they tend to not sit still for the camera :) .

Here is a profile of the 150 gallon:

Unfortunately, there is no stand for the tank. I built the base into a wall when I was finishing my basement. To be honest, when I saw the stand that was being sold for that size tank I was not convinced that it would be substantial enough based on the weight of a fully loaded tank. I would recommend building a sturdy base - I used 6 4x4 posts lagged together by 2x4s and I used a 3/4" pressure treated plywood top - not very expensive, but you could drive a truck on it with no worries.

Sorry - the skimmer is taken. I would have kept it myself, but I don't have enough space between the wall and the back of my 55G to fit it in and I don't have a sump.
