Hey everyone!

So for my senior project I am growing and selling coral so I can donate the money to a reef restoring non profit. I also have written a paper on how the coral reefs are on the brink of many medical break throughs. I need some imput on what you guys think the price I should charge for this pack.

Zoa pack,

What do you guys think i plan on making 5-10 packs. Also I will have frags individually avaliable.

I would say take 15-20% off of market price per polyp and sum it up for the pack. People look for a deal in a pack, so it should be cheaper than buying per polyp. I don't really keep up with market prices though, so I have no clue

I would buy a pack.

Two things to consider as far as pricing goes.

Part of the going price for corals online is that you are buying from a business that has to pay bills and stay open. You are paying for the coral, plus keeping the shop open. You are also paying somewhat for the shops reputation. So the price online is going to be a bit higher. Also big shops can hold onto items for longer waiting for that right buyer to pay top dollar. If you want to move something quickly you will have to price it appropriately.

The other side of that is you can try to sell the angle that it is for a school project and the profits will be going toward an organization working on saving coral reefs. Some people will buy and pay just for that aspect of it no matter what you are selling.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I have no idea what you should ask for the zoa pack! Good luck and let us know when they will be available.

To give you an idea, here's what I charge when I sell these frags:

Total of $165 and you could charge $150 for the pack.

I also tend to be on the cheaper side as well, but it makes it easier to sell so I can fund my zoa addiction faster haha! You can't really use online pricing because it doesn't apply to what's already in our area. For example: I see people online(out of state) charging $15-20pp for red hornets. They are so common in our area that you won't see a reefer charging more than $5-10pp. Hope that helps and good luck with your sale.

I am about to start fragging. And if anyone has any interest in specific polyp amounts let me know i will custom frag for you. Also I will deliver to your door! 10% off on orders over $150 free frag of my choice on orders of $200 or more on top of the 10% off. Money is going to reefhab. And to the academy of science for their reef displays.
