Septemberr 2006 POTM --- Pic Submission & Ideas

Hey folks. I am back from my vacation, which was good, and then awful, and then crazy, and then good. But I will leave those details for an off topic thread.

The purpose of THIS thread is to officially open up the September 2006 COMAS POTM contest for picture submission. Since I am getting started so early this time, I think I will give 2-3 weeks for picture submission. We'll get the poll up and finished before the September meeting. That way the winner can get their prize then.

Also, I wanted to open the floor for any suggestions folks may have for the POTM contest, specifically for this month. Does anyone have any great ideas about a theme, or a topic, or something to kick it up a notch?

I am open to suggestions.

What about instead of a picture submission, it was a description submission? I know thats kind of lame...but we could put down why we deserve to win, or what makes us so obsessed with the reef hobby. We could also use pictures to explain better. Just a thought!

Chris, the idea of the POTM is to generate pictures for a possible calendar.

If the problem is the need to raise submissions, I think if someone kept bugging people on an almost daily basis we would remember to send them in.
