Sequence Barracuda Vibrations

I'm running a Barracuda as my return pump. There is a lot of vibration that reverbs through the 90G Sump amplifying the sound. I have taken the pump out and ensured it was level and on pink foam to absorb some of the Vibration. Can anyone else suggest a possible fix?

I have another running my CL and there isn't any problem

Thanks
Jason

do you have it mounted?

what i did was get a 1/2" piece of wood, put the vibration pad on top of that and the barracuda on the pad and mounted it to the wood. that has stopped all vibration for me. you could also try spa-flex instead of hard pvc connecting to your sump.

No, And as I put my weight on it it does quiet down a bit.

Unfortunately it's an odd hight from the floor. It's about 1 and 1/8 off the floor so I put a piece of pink insulation under it and a thin piece of wood.

I guess I should mount it. Is it necessary to attach the mounting bracket to the floor, as that would mean concrete

J,
I have the same problem. I tried spa flex and it quieted it bit. Iwas told to use th vynal tubing instead of the spaflex or PVC.
the tubing gives it also of play and does not allow the sound to travel thru the sump. This is what I will be changing to.

I did not mount mine to the floor as mine would have been concrete as well. I just mounted it to a 1/2" thick piece of wood with the vibration pad on top. I used some rather large wood screws as well. The vibration is gone and it's tons more quiet than it was. It still has the typical barricuda sound though but that is only the motor whirling.
