Sequence ReeFlo Barracuda Pump *

just recieved it from ups yesterday and man this thing is a Monster. I never really realized how big this pump was seeing it here in pics on RC.

Yeah, when my hammerhead showed up in the mail I was pretty shocked. I've never seen a pump that big for an aquarium before

As for needing earplugs, not sure why that would be. My hammerhead is a slight hum....rediculously quite for it's size IMO.

I have seen the hammerhead and cuda side by side and the cuda is much louder. Makes no sense I know. lol

I run a cuda on my closed loop.. powerfull but noisey

xenon how loud is you barracuda? Because I was thinking about getting one for a CL, however I do not want a loud pump.

It's loud enough to think there was something wrong so I got Sequence to send me a new pump and it was the same thing.

They are just plain loud IMO.

I have 5 Sequence pumps and to me they do not seem load.. I guess its a personal opinion.

but what is he comparing loud to?
i figured because it is a pump it will have to make some sort of noise...

my dart is pretty damn quiet for a 3600gph pump

I have a hammerhead as well and I hard plumbed it orginally and it was pretty darn loud, someting I had to fix ASAP. I used some rubber joints and hi-density pad and now it is quiet with a low hum. What pumps have you used before, maybe by luck i might have used the same model? I've also used an older model of the barracuda and to me it had the same noise level as the hammerhead.
