Serial port upgrade for Jr.?

Your website states that the Jr. now comes with an optional serial port so that you can use Aquanotes with it. Is this available to older Jr's? Mine does not have a serial port and I would like to add this feature if possible. Also, what's the difference bewteen Aquanotes Lite and the full version?
