Serpent Stars?

Several months ago, I started finding tiny creatures in my filter media. They look like serpent stars. On a daily basis, I can see a tiny arm protruding from a rock or something in my tank. Then, just a few days ago, my wife saw a bigger one on the front glass after the lights had gone out. So, am I right, are these serpent stars? If so, do they commonly hitchhike on live rock? Are they a threat to my corals? What type of serpent star could they be?

I'd appreciate input from anyone who may be knowledgeable about these creatures, and/or has had similar experiences.

Theyre pretty common. Nothing to worry about IMO. They shouldnt get more than 2". I have them all over some of my tanks. Good part of the clean up crew.

I have a ridiculous serpent star population and have had no harm done to any tank inhabitants. Common hitchhiker
