set up questions / suggestions Fish and coral QT

Hi Everyone,
I am working on setting up some QT tanks and a hospital tank right now.
Here is a quick list of what I am looking at doing.
2 x 30 gallon breeders, 1 for coral and 1 for fish QT, both using the same 40 breeder as a sump
1 x 40 breeder as a hospital tank for meds and such

I wanted to do the 2 x 30's and 40 sump together so I can use 1 chiller on it and use the other 1/10 chiller on the Hospital 40 gallon.

These will all be set up in a garage, so thus the need for the chillers.
I am concerned that if I do have an out break of some sort of fish disease I will be contaminating the 2 QT tanks.... :sad2: or am I just being paranoid.

But in theory this is the best use of my space and equipment.

Just so you know after years and years in this hobby I am finally going to use QT's and hospital tanks after loosing - all these beautiful fish to velvet / ich
3 Bellus Angel's
2 Wantanabei Angel's
2 Japanese Masked Angel's
3 clowns
1 Flame Angel
1 Lamarck's Angel
a couple of high end wrasses
in my 180 SPS reef tank

Please chime in if you have any ideas, right now I have pretty much all the equipment, just waiting on 1 of the drilled 30 breeders.

Thanks!

Why not just keep them all together (corals and fish) in the same tank if you are going to have them tied together anyways? You are correct that if you tie the two tanks together and you have a fish disease you will need to keep the coral in the QT for 9 weeks without any fish in either tank or the corals will simply pass on the disease.

Kind of had that thought, about the disease affecting both tanks....:fish1:
I've never really QT'd coral before, seem to have been pretty lucky that way.
I could use the two tanks just as fish QT, maybe the larger water volume will help keep things more stable.
