With the DC8 it does not matter which you plug into because they are all the same. the EB8 have different plugs on the 4 and 8 ports.

Not true, the DC8 has relays for 4 & 8 as well - no high power devices on these or they will fuse. (don't ask how I know). There should be a tag on the side of the DC8 (or it can be seen in the manual you can download from www.neptunesys.com) that shows the dipswitch configuration for what the outlet codes will be for the unit.
OSC is Oscillate - in your code, you will have each pump on for 10 minutes, then off for 10 mimutes. Since one is set to be on and the other off, they will run opposite 10 minute cycles, one on then other on.
I shipped him the manual with this. I would have to agree, I used to always ask Neptune or on the forums. I read the manual how to set it up and what the different function were, now I do not need to ask so much.
The manual gave me more of an education than one question at a time. If I got stuck I would ask ken or russ.
