Hello all,
I am getting ready to set up a 125 reef tank, and would love to see what you have set up. I have searched the web and been to several of our Duke City LFS but would like to see everyone elses. I know everyone will have a different set-up and various ways of taking care of a tank. That, I would love to see. I do have a 55 reef tank set up but a bigger monster is on its way. So if you would be willing to open your doors I would love to come by and visit with you to share ideas and information.

Thanks Monsoon505

Hello I have a few questions on frag tanks,. This past weekend I decided to get my 30 gallon frag up and running. I am using a small biowheel filter and a protein skimmer along with experimenting with 5 K LED Lights. Do you guys approve of this set up? I have added approximatally 10lbs of rock to get this tank cycling. Last night I tested my tank and heres what I recorded so far. PH 8.6, NO2 <.3, Carbonate KH 14, NH3/NH4 Ammonia 3.0. I know my PH KH and NH3,4 are high but I am expecting to see these come down. I am using stability. What you think will this eventually thrive? Any recommendations.

Im not convinced of the LEDs at this point (any set up, nothing personal) I think if you dont have fish in that tank and keep a low bio load you will do good.

Well I know LEDs are still trying to make its mark into saltwater reef tanks, I guess we will just have to see. Someone's gotta do it. I will let you know how it turns out in the next couple of months. Alge is growing. No fish in tank for sure at the current levels i would pretty much kill any fish. Thanks for your input I dont mind constructive criticism.
