Hiya!
I'm overwhelmed by choices and with black Friday coming on I think I need to make some decisions. Could use some advice!
I have reefslugs old 65g setup with nice sump.
I'm looking to have a bunch of peaceful type fish, and I'd like to focus on SPS, but with some softies around. The tank is going to be about arms length from me in my home office, in which I spend 10+ hours a day. So it being relatively quiet is important.
Lights: I already have a Viparspectra 300w light. But I need a kit to suspend it from ceiling... are nearly all light hanging kits interchangeable?
Skimmer: The Reef Octopus S-130 seems to be on good sale and the right size... good?
Recirculating pumps: I like the idea of a wavemaker.
The Koralia 3rd gens seem hard to beat on price, but they seem to make noise with the wavemaker.
The EcoTech 10QD seems to have good reviews and it has the word quiet in the name. Also I like no cords in the tank.
Tunze Nanostreams seem to be maybe a middle ground and the 6055 seems to be right and on sale. When I got out like 8 years ago Tunze was the Cadillac of powerheads.
I think that's all for now... but I'm open to ideas and suggestions!
