Here's my list, this will be a severe budget build. I have the lights already, now I need a tank first and foremost (I'll buy out of order if the right deals come my way.)
Need a tank, would like a cube of some sort, no bigger than 14" (can be a little longer, but no bigger than 14" wide).It can also be a column style, no taller than 20".
Need black sand, obviously from the dimensions above, don't need much. If anyone's setting up a small tank with black, I'll go in halves with you on the sand, or if you have some extra laying around.
Need a small hang on back filter, preferably aquaclear in good working order.
Need live rock, small but very interesting pieces. I prefer live, but for the right piece, base rock will do.
I'll be posting a budget build thread to show what can be done on a budget. This is more for my son, who's the reason I got out of the hobby in the first place. He's 3 now, and would really enjoy this.
