Several clams lost in the past 2 months--culprit found

so does that mean my foxface should be a gonner??

my clam is WAY more open today as i have fed my foxface more. i was feeding minimal to have him eat other algae in the tank.

oppinions?

I'm not qualified to answer that, I've just heard of those who have trouble with foxfaces nipping. Feed him well and keep a close watch....you might be OK.
 
The Foxface I had used to do that too. Note the referrence to past. The day I saw it nip at the mantle, was the day he got returned to the store, not a fun event since it was a least 5 inches long.

One of the unfortunate facts of this hobby is that we must make committments, mine was/is stronger to clams than to any other animal in my reef.

I got into SW keeping because of the flame angel, and into reefs bc of clams. But I wonÃ"šÃ‚´t keep both in the same tank (although some people have done it with success). My attention is now focused at the cleaner shrimp that I have, he goes too close for comfort sometimes to both my maximas but has not done anything to either.
