I recently took over 2 tanks for a guy. He had broken his back and wasn't able to care for the tanks anymore. I have fixed any water conditions so that is ok now. I've only had fresh water fish so I'm new to salt water. I put the 2 fish that were injured in a hospital tank and gave them 1 round of amoxicillan (because that is all there was left) and then bought some maracyn-oxy which is all they had there at stupid petsmart. So I did 2 treatments of that. Its now day 5 and they don't seem to have healed much. I must say though besides the marks they seem in perfect health. They eat really well, good breathing, swim around the tank like there's nothing wrong. So do I need to get a different kind of STRONGER medication? will the wounds at all heal? or are they now permanent wounds.
This one I just saw today. He is in the reef tank, and has a big red mark on his side. What is that? Should I move him to the hospital tank?
This one is missing his top fin COMPLETLY and he seems to have some kind of condition on his face making it peel.
This one has holes in it's gill cover area and its face is peeling too.
