Sexing Mccosker's Wrasse

I am planning on ordering a mccosker's wrasse this week.
According to the site it will be a male which I understand has the more elaborate fins, more color etc. etc.
However, if I only have one in the tank that is male, will that mean it is going to turn female? Or are they probably already past the age where that is determined?

As far as I've been told (not sure if accurate) they can c\hange sexes like clowns, as need thoughout life.

hmmmm....I just don't wanna get a nice looking male and then in a year from now it is all dulled out.

I've never heard of them changing just for fun.. they usually have a reason, more dominant male introduced for example.
