Sexy shrimp in a 1G

Hey!
I was just wondering if that setup would work.
I have a main 20G, and a 1G for copepod breeding, the tank has some LS, some rubble, and plenty of cheato and copepods.
I just love those tiny shrimp, but in a 20G they would prob disappear..
What do you guys think? can I go for one or two sexy shrimp in a 1G?
What about my 20? Will they be fine with a blue coral banned shrimp?
thanks,
Roy.

Coral banded shrimp will kill them. If you have lps or nems in your 20 the sexy will never leave them and thus always be in view. I would not keep them without a lps or nem to host.

EXACTLY what I have!

I have been keeping a pair of blue coral banded in a 20 with sexy shrimp for 4 years.

Put 2 in the 1 gal and half a dozen in the 20. You can never have enough sexy shrimp.

That has not been my experience.

Maybe regular coral banded in a small tank will eat a tiny sexy shrimp, but the blue species is a kinder and gentler and much smaller beast. Mine are just over an inch long.

I have also had no problem with the regular coral banded shrimp and sexy shrimp, but that was in a 180.

Interesting. I've never tried the blue variety but have witnessed the standard CBS destroy sexy shrimp on numerous occasions. Thanks for the info, I'm off to read about the blue CBS.

That's great! Well now I'll only have to wait until I'll find them. I had only one chance to see them and I fell in love lol
What is the average price they go for? And btw my blue coral banned shrimp is very small its in a size of a peppermint shrimp if not less.
Oh and I have plenty of lps corals for them :)
Thanks again,
Roy.

I have a 150G and I see my 3 sexy shrimps at all time.

Just have some ricordea or a anemone and your shrimp will stick around there all the time
