shadows over clams,

should I be concerned about possible bleaching..? I got big priced maxy which moved under millepora coral, so now parts of its mantle are overshadowed by coral branches... My book (giant clams by Daniel Knop)say it could begin to bleach at these spots but than again all those TOTM style tanks have nice looking clams under big acroporas so wonder... is it bad for him?

Just keep an eye on it. I saw a big derasa clam once that was bleached for that same reason come back after getting it light.
