I'm designing a custom system hopefully 30Wx24Lx14H (just over 50 gallons), shallow is the key to this and any examples or recommendations here would be great! It'll have an overflow and sump, custom made, live rock rubble to replace bio balls, tons of flow in the tank itself. There'd be an r.o system, auto top off, calcium reactor and a protein skimmer. I'm debating on lighting still having kept softies with ease but always struggled with sps. So i've looked at the Coralife Aqualight Pro 24" 250 Watt HQI. The twist to the tank is i'd want to replicate the shallow reefs surrounding mangrove islands so there'd be mangroves to one end and purely sps corals to the other. I guess all i need to know is what sounds like success and what sounds like disaster waiting to happen?
Thanks!
Thanks!
