I'm a relative newby when it comes to SPS. I see photos on RC of magnificent SPS colonies that are pretty symmetrical. My frags apparently did not get the memo. So do you trim your frags to shape them? Or just let them grow out and see what happens? Thanks.
Just let them grow out naturally and they will develop nice form. Your flow will dictate how the branches grow out..higher flow typically encourages a tighter growth pattern. I've had really weird frag shapes turn out to be nice even full pieces.

Ha ha, that's what I used to think with my frags. After I figured out how to grow a coral bigger than a frag, I realized they will get there nice shape all on there own. Just let them grow.
