Hi all. I'm looking for inspiration of reef/nano tanks based in an Eclipse 12 tank system.

I will soon get one, and just curious what types of things are being done.. ;)

Best,

dont do it 3 years ago i had a guy at a LFS recomend the eclipse 12 system where to start well first 3 months in the built in filter died so i went out and bought a fluval 104 and the lighting system in them sucks its 13 watts of PC and i swear the cover is a magnet for anything in the air and it acumulates and blocks out the light so i wound up removing the canopy and hanging a sun pod so basicly what was once an eclipse 12 tank is just a tank save your self the time effort and heart break and money in the long run avoid this tank like the plauge if you want an intergrated filter system get your self a uniquarium also the stock filtration system is just a realy ****y Power filter and half the water going through the system just avoids the cartrage all together its so flawed i cant stress the problems with this system i mean even the rare leak issues with the cube dxes are worth the chance over the problems with the eclipse systems DO NOT use them for a SW tank

My very first tank was a System 12. It was a moderately planted FW. I scrapped the stock lighting a long time ago and added 2 Wal Mart 10w 6500K PCs.

Now its drilled with 2 returns and a durso. The next challenge is an overflow box.

Obviously the stock setup isnt good for anything really lol. I'm still contemplating lighting for this bad boy.

Nice there!

I'm also thinking of modding this Eclipse and not using the stock hood (hopefully).

Keep the photos coming if you guys have them.

Best,
Ilham
