Doesn't shock me, I was at one of my LFS this weekend in the Keys and while I was there I saw and heard one of the LFS clerks talking a group of young teens into buying a bamboo shark egg for their 24g aqua pod. When the clerk walked away for a min I told the kids not to buy it unless they had a minimum of a 150g for when it hatched with plans to upgrade to a much larger system for it later on. thankfully they listened, didn't buy it and left the store.

which key are you located on? i didnt know of any stores down there. Yeah that is pretty sad. 50 gallons is a huge tank though. j/k

Wow I got a good laugh out of that. Poor thing though, I'm sure it outgrew the tank the day it hatched.

sounds eerely familiar to my shark. I purchased him from a LFS, where the person bought him for a 20gallon long tank, and it outgrew it, when i picked up it, it was 12 inches long.....truly sad.
