Shark photography

I will be taking pictures of my new Banded Shark tomorrow and am wondering if you guys have any tips. I have a Sony DSC-H2.
My other tank photos are not very good so I was wondering if theres an easy way to take pictures of my fish easily.

Remember that the smaller the aperture (bigger f-number equals smaller aperture) the greater your depth of field will be. Depth of field is the amount of the photo that appears in focus. As you use smaller and smaller apertures the shutter speeds will be longer and longer- so keep an eye on your settings and see where the best compromise is. Generally speaking the best compromise will be the smallest aperture coupled with a shutter speed that is fast enough to avoid motion blur or camera shake. And... the more you zoom in the more shake there will be- so I'd recommend getting fairly close and using the wider part of the lens (get close and zoom out not in). Aperture priority is a good mode to be in- set your aperture and watch the shutter speed to make sure you're not too slow. Too slow would depend on how steady you can hold the camera, but as a general starting point try not to go slower than 1/30th to 1/60th or so.
Try to make sure the eyes are in focus.
You can experiment with the flash if you want- it will help you get more depth of field and faster shutter speeds.
Try to shoot squarely into the tank- unless you're using a flash-- then you have to shoot downwards at a slight angle.
There's more things to think of but that should get you started :p
If any of that doesn't make sense just holler :)

someone say shark pics?
