Shedding GSP???

I got a rock with GSP on it about 2 weeks ago. It was open in the tank that i got it from, and i put it in my tank and it hasnt opened back up. Now i am noticing that it looks like the skin is shedding off of it. Is there any hope for this left? I dont know what the alk is, i have to go get new test kit this weekend. Any suggestions?

what are the rest of your parameters like?

i know when i put mine in from the LFS it took a week to open back up...then it spread like a a wild fire...then i had a major green hair algea and cyano outbreak...totally covered the GSp...chunks and stuff started falling and flaking off the GSP...lookied like coraline floating around the tank...cleaned it all up of GHA and cyano and the GSP is now coming back to life in full swing..

moral of my story is...very tough stuff to kill..

give it some time...GSP has a tendancy to close up from time to time aswell...mine has closed up for a week with no reason that i could find...only to come back to life ten fold...
