Shelf Life of Additives

Do powder based additives such as Sea Chem Reef Adv. Calcium and Reef Builder have a shelf life? If so, how long?

I would go to the web site of those folks. Some may be sponsers. You may be able to go to the sponser forum and get that answer.

Generally speaking, dry chemical compounds don't 'go bad', at least AFAIK. Something like CaCl, MgSO4 etc. will be fine for years if not forever. Like salt mix, the additives we put in our tanks can be affected by exposure to water but as long as you keep them in airtight containers away from moisture they'll be fine.
