Yes you would be correct. PC lights shift in Kelvin rather quickly...they degrade faster than VHO and/or T5. You will have to replace your bulbs faster than you would with the other types of lighting. I have had numerous PC lighting set up on my Reef tanks, and have come to regret each purchase. An added benefit of VHO's...they have a reflector built into the bulb itself..allowing you to get away without buying one. T5's and PC's need a good reflector to really get good performance. HTH
