shipping advice

I'm looking to ship some corals around the U.S. I've shipped quite a few times using usps without any deaths using the big u-line styrofoam box with lots of packaging. Most of the time my weight is around 10lbs and I pay around $25-30 to ship overnight. The people interested don't live in an overnight usps area and ups and fed-ex would cost almost $70 to ship that kind of package. Anyone have advice on keeping costs down? Hard to sell a $75 coral for almost $150 total....

Well you have been doing better then most.USPS is a nitemare for me and I had about a 60% success rate with them.I started shipping fed ex priority overnight about 2 years ago with at least 30 packs going out with 100 % success and no losses or delays. Most will sell packs with 5 or more corals in it and bite the bullet to not have the issues. But yea I have paid as much as $90 to ship to the west coast and some rural areas in the center of the US.The only other suggestion I can offer is to open a Fed Ex account and you will get a discounted price on shipping.
