Shipping cutoff confusion

I am confused as to the cutoff time for orders. On the website it says:

"What time do I have to submit my order for it to be processed, and shipped out today?"
Expedited orders placed after 2pm Pacific Time (5PM EST) and all others placed after 3pm Pacific Time (6PM PST) will be processed the next business day. Over 95% of orders placed before the cut-off time are processed and shipped the same day.


But on my confirmation e-mail I get:

"Most, but not all, orders received before 2:00 PM PST (5:00 PM EST) on business days ship out
the same day. UPS Ground service generally requires 1 to 7 business days to be delivered"

So if I place a order with standard shipping at 2:30 what time will it go out (assuming everything is in stock) ???

Hi,

Thanks for your inquiry. Orders placed using standard shipping at 2:30 will ship on the same business day. We do try to ship all packages received before 3 on the same day, but expedited orders (2 Day and Overnight Service) get picked up earlier than ground packages.

I tested this, with great results. It is good to be a MarineDepot customer and live in SoCal.

I ordered at 2:30 on a Thursday, got my order on Friday morning. Comically, I got my order before the shipping confirmation LOL. Thanks!
