Shocked tank

About a week ago I was setting up my lights on my tank and as they were being plugged in the extension cord fell into my water. Before the water was shocked my nitrates and nitrites were low and nearly gone. But now they are both off the charts. I have no fish because I am currently cycling my tank. All I have are rocks and sand. I think that these are the correct pictures to show what happened to my sand. Does anyone know what the brown stuff is on top of it? Also are there any remedies for this type of situation?

I also have pink on my silicon in my refugium. Also I am continuing to cycle my water. If I just restart my cycling. By restart I mean just continue cycling but this will me the start of my first week again? Any suggestions please don't hesitate! Thanks greatly!

That pinkish looking stuff is Cyano, and as mentioned above, the ugly brown/gold is diatoms. Don't worry about either, they are normal in a new tank.
It's doubtful that your cycle was almost complete then started again with the introduction of your extension cord. More likely, your cycle was revving up to start when the extension cord got wet and the two things are simply coincidence.
