SHe is so cute! WHen I got her from Reefermadness, she was all of the size of a quarter, but now that she has expanded and opened, she is about 3 inches around. I fed her tonight some frozen mysid, she was hungry. I also rearranged a few rocks to make a nice place for her. Right under the lights with moderate water flow. She seems really happy!

Amanda, looks like you got a (very pretty) staghorn and a faviid of some sort (aka a LPS). I may be wrong, though--I don't have my contacts in at the moment, lol.

Very cute RBTA. I would let her pick a spot in the tank before adding much else, though; those things sure have willpower, and nothing can stop them from going where they want to go!
 
Things are going great! My anemone moved last night, but to an even better spot!! SHe looks fantastic, the fish and inverts are doing great! Here are some pics...

I love RBTAs and that one is perfect! White or purple foot?

Watch the rainford. I had one in my 55. He liked frozen, but liked the sandbed more... he starved after a few months and I moved him to a friends 500 gallon. Just make sure he is eating frozen fine.

Clowns are barely an inch long, they have no clue!!!!!!!! LOL Silly clowns!

It is SO good to know that you are back to doing what you love. I would miss this hobby sooo much. I like what you have going so far. My little nano is no longer at this time. My powerhead fell off the back over night and blew sand into the filtration and the motor burned up. So I moved everything to the big tank. I miss the nano though. One Day..... :)

If I remember the specs on the light you running its a 14K. Thats going to have a very blue color to it. I have a 400w 14K Hamilton over my prop trank. It has a much whiter color than a lower watt 14k and it still looks very blue in a pic. Good luck with that. All you need in that tank now is a mantis shrimp :)
 
NO WAY. No Mantis!!!!!!!! They are not welcome in my tank at all!!!!

However, I just bought some rare blue anthelia!!!! And a few other corals I'll be receiving tomorrow!!!! I can hardley wait!

Hello Everyone!

Glad to see Amanda back and sticking it to the norm. ( I would never do anything like that. hehe.... :D )

Very nice little modified setup there Amanda, and your already getting some cool stuff. Let us know how everything is doing, I am interested in how well the SPS are doing being added so quickly. I would like to take a few nice frags from my cap's and put them in mine, but want to wait a bit since SPS are so much more finicky than softies or LPS.

I just got the Aquapod 24g with the 72w PC lighting for my Eel, the only mods are adding a heater and a MJ 900. I gotta keep the top closed like it comes to keep the Eel inside the tank, so no major mods are possible. I think I will add some LR to the overflow area.
 
BG, lookie what I found. This is normal for those little butt shakers

Thor amboinensis (de Man 1888), the Squat Anemone or Sexy Shrimp (in reference to its usually-raised tail). 1/4-3/4" long. Common in all tropical seas. Found in association with Giant, Sun, Elegant Anemones. Here is one in a Condylactis gigantea in Cozumel, Mexico.

Ya, now my other sexy shrimp is on some Acro LOL. Silly little shrimp!

Well, today is the day!!!! I get 6 new corals and 2 clams!!!!! I'm so excited. Parameters are perfect, skimmer is working great, no more micro bubbles and I dosed DT's last night. I can hardley wait.
