just wondering if these guys are reef safe, what is there survival rate like ?

also are sea hares easy to keep how do they do in reef tanks?

Well, the common name is about as vagues as they come, but yes most brittle/ serpent stars are reef safe. They do very well provided they're properly acclimated and occasionally fed something meaty.

Again, "sea hare" is really vague. People in the hobby don't seem to realize there are a lot of sea hares with at least 1/3 of the species making it into the hobby on occasion. Their diets vary from species to species, so at feeding time it helps to know which one you have. They almost all fare poorly in reef tanks though since with only a few exceptions they're lagoonal animals, not high-flow reef critters. They tend to starve to death or get sucked into pumps.
