To Reef Central! Loving the sinularia.

I hope I can get my zoa tank looking that good!

Keep parameters stable and a good maintenance schedule.
Understand your system and measure the params once in a while to make sure things aren't going off track.
Keep an eye for possible predations and diseases.
Dip every new frag/colony carefully and understand their light requirements for better placement.
Target feed the zoas to let them grow happier.
Let them grow to colonies and forget the garage market/cartoon names, fragging them every day.

I think I'll change my signature for the above.
That way I won't need to repeat that again.
:D
Have a good week!!

Grandis.

You tanks looks amazing a year later. I may have missed it but what size tank do you have. What do you use for your water movement? Can you explain more about your usual maintenance, testing, test kits as well as what you are feeding or supplementing the tank? Your tank is what i want to strive for but i feel like i struggle with getting the correct maintenance routine. I have had a tank for a number of years but it has never been at a point that i have been completely happy with it.

i pretty much represent the welfare section of this hobby.90 gallon tank, 4 cheapo ebay circulation pumps ,underpowered hob eshopps skimmer, cheapo led strip around 300 watts, then i have 2 used kessil 150 ocean blues. I never, over a yr, have tested my water.I overfeed daily frozen mysis and weekly silverside or shrimp for the anemones. I add marine buffer,coral-vite and iron plus to my purified water i top off with, i just eyeball amounts into the gallon jugs of water. Also use a nitrate and phosphate pads in my sump , i change them every 2-3 weeks. My only saving grace is weekly water changes,15 gallons, i go to the beach and get local water....
