Shots with my fancy Canon Powershot A40

So, i finally bought a tripod today. I have been holding out for years, but i really wanted to see what a $3.00 out-of-date Powershot could do with stabilization (bought it new. that should give you an idea of how often i purchase photo equipment). These are just some quick practice shots. I wasn't worried about the sand stir or the reflection of the camera in the pics.

So, the newer cameras with higher pixel counts (the A40 is 2 megapixel)... how much better are they?

Oh, also... has anyone ever used the macro adapter for one of these? I'm wondering if i should shell out the 10 bucks it would cost...

great pics.. i have used the a540 with the macro lens and adapter.. like an 75.00 thing on amazon.. here is a pic. i recently got a new camera and still have not got to this level of a shot on it yet.lol
