Should I be adding phytoplakton?

I just bought a bottle of Dt's Phytoplankton based on the suggestion of a LFS. I have not been adding any to my tank and I was wonder if this is something that I should be using. I have a 46 gal tank. 55lbs of LR. Lots of zoos, GSPs, Mushrooms, an anemone, Kenya tree, hammer coral, devils hand, and a few frags of acropora. Do you guys add it? If I do add it should I use it as often as the bottle suggests which is every other day? Thanks

I have a 20L with a 10 gallon sump and i dose 5ml on M, W, F and Sunday. I feed the tank a small piece (dime size) of Rod's Food every day and have zero issues with algae.

i'm not sure if my SPS or zoas consume the DT's but I believe the critters in the sand bed do.

Frozen Decapods, get the frozen, not the freeze dried. Small crustation, good food for lots of things.
I don't use dt's but a lot of people do, try it and see if you see any positive reactions. It is beneficial to your sandbed residents.

DTs: great stuff. And if you really want to see the sand bed critters boom, you should try the new blend. Great stuff.

Rod, I'll get some, next time I'm out there. Dog racing starts in April, in Elburn, so I'll be out your way monthly during the warmer months! What's in the new blend?

its called "premium reef blend". The new species is Phaeodactylum tricornutum which is a diatom and like his oyster eggs, should hlep us feed some of the more difficult to keep creatures.
