should i be freaking out about my readings?

Doesn't the presence of nitrites cause nitrate readings to be incorrect? What kind of test kit are you using?

Don't freak out too much about the nitrite levels, it is much less dangerous to saltwater fish than freshwater. It is an indication that your tank is not near cycling though, and it is still bad for the fish. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-06/rhf/index.php . The algae starting to show should help temporally sequester some of the nutrients as well.

Keep skimming, do some water changes and wait it out. I would not bother with any more of the seachem stability unless you still have some laying around.
