Should I just glue it?

A few weeks ago I got a candy cane coral frag with 3 heads. I placed it in a hole in a piece of live rock. But yesterday I moved it so I could put my frogspawn in the hole. As a result I tried to put the candy cane in a crevice on another rock, but it keeps leaning over, and laying on one of the heads. Do you think I should just glue the candy cane? And if I do is it ok to take the candy cane out of the water for a little?

Like all the branchers, hammer, frogspawn, torch, candycanes have a dead branch that can be glued.

Do you think that gluing would be a better idea than finding a crevice, and risking the chance of it falling over?

i always just put it in a crevice. it grows quickly and may need to be moved again or fragged. It never seemed to hurt it for a polyp to be leaned up against a rock. But, it wasn't being moved by current or anything.
