Should I take on seahorse?

Hello there, My LPS has a pair of seahorse for 82.99 each. They are both 3 inches long and i have a 20 gal that could really use some fame! Also I wanted seahorses for a long time now and research them for a day. They might be gone before i have the time to buy them but if there still there is it worth a chance?

Seahorses should be kept between 68-72. A chiller is a good investment if you want to keep them long term. A 20g tank would not be large enough. Please do plenty of research before getting them. Do you know if they are captive bred or wild caught? Have you seen them eat FROZEN mysis shrimp?

Yes i have, they are captive breed and eat gut loaded brine and mysis shrimp.

There will always be seahorses around so you can take your time to learn their needs before jumping into a hobby that isn't as easy as keeping a reef tank IMO.
There are some links very well worth reading at the BOTTOM of my page "My Thoughts on Seahorse Keeping" written by experienced keepers in the hobby.

I know that once I get them it will be a challenge and will have to take alot of time to them.
