show me pics of your cube drill in the center

i am looking for ideas on cubes tanks drill in the center and having and all side view if any one can help me to get a basic idea or any ups and down to have a tank drill this way

i want to drill my tank in the center with the returns and the close loop and overflow

I don't have one....yet. But I've always liked the idea of what you did. Having everything in the middle, covered with an overflow box, and then pile rock all the way up it, so you don't see it. Just one big island in the middle. Looks good. What are the dimensions of that tank?

Did you build it? Is the bottom pain on the bottom, or is it resting on the sides?

and yes i built it my self and will post more really soon i have to dicide on what i do in the top for overflow any ideas on center overflow

Yah, I would definitely do what I said earlier. Pile up some choice rock all the way up the overflow, completely hiding it, and leave the rest open and definitely put it somewhere you can walk all the way around it. I would like to see some closeups of the bottom assembly. (the corners specifically)

I'm also thinking of getting a similar tank built... so, is the bottom pane of glass on the bottom, with the side panes resting on it? Also, what kind of lighting will you use... I was thinking that a single metal halide may not be the best way to go since the strongest light would be hitting the center overflow box...

Let us know if the drain noise is acceptable. Without a durso it may be loud, but it depends the amount of water.
