After much thought and internal debate.. I have decided on the 40 gallon breeder for my next tank. The purpose of this thread is for others to post pictures of their rare (somewhat anyway) sized tank, and to bounce ideas off each other.

I'm leaning toward having two small-medium sized islands of live rock with open space in the middle to allow for more swimming room for my fish... I'm going to be moving my black and white clowns and few corals from the 20 gallon I currently have.. The rest of the livestock addition is still up for debate..

So.. Post your pics and make some comments/suggestions!!!

I will post pics when the time comes as well.. Thanks and happy reefing!!

WOW.....The tank and that clam is nothing short of amazing.
I'm setting up a 50gal br (little taller then the 40) your tank is a inspiration.
What type of lighting are you using??

WOW.. those are excellent pics so far! As everyone above me has said, I was amazed when I saw the gigantic clam. I love the colors on the tank! Keep these pictures coming!!

Couple great tanks so far, I've been considering something this size for a while now (if I can convince the wife to let me set up another tank ;)). Look forward to more!

I just picked up a new 40 gal breeder and place on setting it up this weeked (if it rains - otherwise it's yard work!). Petco was overstocked on them and gave it to me for a great price.

so far, those threads are good! I'll have to take more time to read them. The 40 is such an excellent size for a 'smallish' fish tank.. it's wide enough to keep some LPS corals far away.. and it's shallow enough to get some great lighting on there for relatively cheap. Love the pictures.

and Benzreef, I'm glad to see you have a BakPak on there.. I have one on my 20 gallon, but was wondering about how successful it'd be with the 40 gallon. I'm considering adding a left over aqua clear 70 to the tank and having it house some additional liverock(maybe).. but definitely carbon, chemi pure, and most importantly PolyFilter to help lessen some of the chemical warfare between all the corals I'll keep in there. Any opinions on that?
